Ukrainian investment legislation meets modern international standards (Ukraine ratified the Agreement on trade-related investment, the Convention on the Settlement of Investment Disputes between States and Nationals of other States (Washington, 1965), Agreement on the establishment of the Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (Seoul, 1966);

Ukrainian government to investors of the following safeguards: national treatment along with residents 10 years of protection against changes in the investment law, the prohibition nationalize, seize or arrest investments by government agencies, compensation of losses caused by the investor.
